Vertical movement without a swing arc in front of the entrance.
Façades and Entrances / Product Guide
Roller Garage Doors
Controlled garage access, with careful attention to opening space and safe movement.
Supply and installation begin with a site survey and written specifications tailored to your project.
01 / Understand the System
Details to consider before you choose.
A roller door opens vertically, with its slats winding around a shaft above the opening. This reduces the swing space required in front of the door compared with hinged gates. The system is selected for the entrance dimensions, operating frequency and door weight.
The box and guide positions affect the clear height and width available for vehicles. Safety devices and power-failure release arrangements must be reviewed as part of the system. Do not assume that a sensor or automatic function is included unless it is specified and tested.
Benefits and Applications
Configurations that can be assessed for residential or commercial entrances.
Electric operation where supported by the approved operator.
Coordinate the entrance with the façade and vehicle access requirements.
02 / Designs and Applications

Typical installation examples to illustrate the possibilities. Select an image to enlarge it, then discuss the right solution for your site dimensions with us.
Within the garage opening
The guides and box occupy part of the opening, so check the resulting clear vehicle height and width.
Behind the opening
Requires internal space above and beside the entrance, coordinated with beams, pipes and ceilings.
External front box
Review weather protection for the components, façade details, fixings and safe maintenance access.
03 / From Preparation to Handover
Clear steps from the start.
Before Installation
- Measure the clear entrance, floor level and vehicle heights.
- Determine the operating frequency, environment and traffic at the site.
- Review fixing substrates and electrical provision with qualified professionals.
- Specify safety devices. Do not use the door as a substitute for a required emergency exit.
At Handover
- Have the technician test the operating cycle and safety devices in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Explain how to stop movement and use the permitted release during a power failure.
- Provide the controls, manual, operator details and warranty.
Dimensions, materials, models, performance limits, installation scope, timeframe, warranty and maintenance terms are defined in the approved quotation. This guide is general guidance and does not replace the installed product’s documentation or a technical site survey.
04 / After Installation
Use it correctly. Care for it simply.
Every Day
Handling and Operation
- Wait until the door is fully open before passing through. Never pass beneath a moving door.
- Operate the door with the movement area in view and keep children and animals clear.
- If the door strikes an obstacle or becomes unbalanced, stop it and contact a technician.
As Needed
How to Clean
- Isolate operation as instructed before cleaning accessible parts.
- Wipe the surface with a compatible mild cleaner and dry it.
- Keep the closing line and guides clear of gravel and debris.
Protect the System
What to Avoid
- Do not dismantle springs, the shaft, cables or loaded components.
- Do not bypass safety sensors or programme travel limits yourself.
- Do not wash the operator or electrical control panel with water.
Do Not Ignore These Signs
When to Request Maintenance
- The stop function or obstacle-detection device fails.
- The door tilts or drops, a new noise develops or a component becomes loose.
- Damage after a vehicle impact, or failure of the approved release mechanism.
Agree inspection and cleaning intervals with the technician based on the manufacturer’s instructions, usage, dust and humidity. Electrical work, dismantling loaded components and work at height require a qualified professional. Do not attempt these repairs yourself.
05 / Frequently Asked Questions
Before you decide.
Will it open during a power failure?
This depends on the operator and its release or backup-power provisions. The actual method must be stated in the quotation and explained at handover.
Is the existing entrance wide enough?
Allow for the space occupied by the guides and box, then compare the resulting clear opening with the vehicles that will use it.
